1. Service Description
Breakdown Bandits provides on-demand roadside assistance services to members on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Services include flat tyre replacement or inflation, battery jump-start, and emergency fuel delivery.
Operators are independent contractors dispatched via the Breakdown Bandits platform. Response times are estimates only and may vary based on operator availability, traffic, and location.
2. Subscription Terms
Membership plans are available monthly ($4.99/month) or annually ($49.99/year). A one-time setup fee of $7.50 applies to new monthly subscribers on their first charge.
By subscribing, you authorise Breakdown Bandits to charge your nominated payment method the then-current subscription fee. Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the app or by contacting us at office@bdigroup.com.au. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.
3. Callout Fees
Your subscription provides access to the service. Each callout incurs a flat $50 fee paid on-site via our Square terminal. Additional costs apply where parts are required:
- Flat Tyre — $50 (labour and spare fitting)
- Battery Jump Start — $50
- Emergency Fuel Delivery — $50 + cost of fuel
- Battery Replacement — $50 + battery cost (at cost price)
Callout fees are payable at the time of service. Failure to pay may result in suspension of your membership.
4. Service Area & Availability
Our services are available within approximately 60 km of Southport, Gold Coast, Queensland. Service outside this area is not guaranteed and may be declined at the operator's discretion.
We aim to provide 24/7 availability. However, we do not guarantee operator availability at all times. During periods of high demand, response times may be extended or a job may not be fulfilled. In such cases, no callout fee will be charged for an unfulfilled job.
5. Limitation of Liability
Breakdown Bandits facilitates the connection between members and independent roadside operators. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Breakdown Bandits is not liable for:
- Any damage to your vehicle arising from a roadside service
- Consequential, indirect, or economic loss of any kind
- Loss arising from operator delay or non-attendance
- Personal injury suffered during or after a roadside service
Nothing in these terms excludes consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Payment Terms
Subscription payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment details, you confirm you are authorised to use the payment method provided. If a payment fails, your subscription may be suspended until payment is received. We reserve the right to retry failed payments.
7. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your membership at any time via the app or by emailing office@bdigroup.com.au. Access to services continues until the end of the current paid period.
We reserve the right to cancel or suspend any membership found to be misused, including excessive callout requests inconsistent with genuine roadside emergencies, or abusive behaviour towards operators.
8. Member Obligations
As a member you agree to:
- Provide accurate location information when requesting a callout
- Be present at the vehicle location when the operator arrives
- Not engage operators for services outside those offered through the platform
- Treat operators with respect and courtesy
- Only use the service for genuine roadside emergencies
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify members of material changes via the app or by email.
